The Process

During my years as a scientist and a metal smith I have developed a deep love for the natural beauty that is encountered in everyday life or through arduous journeys up majestic mountain peaks. I draw from these inspirations when I create my unique pieces of jewelry. Each precious metal piece is guided by a spirited love and admiration for nature and my extensive knowledge of mineralogy and crystallography. The forms and facets of the gemstones guide the designs. The fabrication process is informed by the expression of the crystals and a desire to communicate their natural beauty through the wearer.

The Gemstones

It is important to me that the gemstones used in my work come from an identifiable origin. Often these gemstones are from localities that I hand mine or are extracted from other artisan mines. The stones are set in their natural state, in a way that showcases their raw facets.
